Matthew's contributing chapter to this scholarly collection addresses the presence of musical westernization within Disney World. Despite achieving an undeniably remarkable presence in commercial tourism, Disney World's exhibition of global cultures -- particularly in its EPCOT theme park -- is presented through a highly-westernized filter. Matthew's chapter navigates the musical representation of 'world' music heard in EPCOT's immensely popular nighttime spectacular "Illuminations: Reflections of Earth."
