"Hope For The Holidays" is a charity benefit that raises funds and awareness about the growing epidemic of teen bullying. Physical and mental bullying have grown to extreme levels within our schools where our youth spend most of their days at. Our youth are being bullied for various reasons, including gender, ethnicity, religious affiliations, sexuality, and poverty levels. Teen suicide is a nationwide issue that must be addressed. Teens who are bullied need help, counseling, and support.
No matter what characteristic another student has to disapprove of in a fellow student, bullying is dangerous and should be prevented by us adults. Every student has the right to attend school safely, without the daily fear of being punched, kicked, spit on, thrown into a locker, or even being threatened to be killed. These actions do not just happen in movies and television shows. This is happening to students every day across this nation.
Please donate time and money to your local schools and organizations to bring awareness to this issue. Funds raised at "Hope For The Holidays" go towards counseling for harassed students and awareness materials for schools.
